2022 Deux Vignes

A Tribute to Bordeaux Elegance

We are excited to unveil Deux Vignes, a wine that embodies balance, finesse, and the timeless elegance of Bordeaux but with a distinctive nod to Napa Valley.  This 52% Cabernet Franc and 48% Merlot blend is our homage to Château Cheval Blanc, one of our all-time favorite wines from the Right Bank of Bordeaux. 

Deux Vignes (which translates to “two vineyards” in French) opens with a seductive bouquet of red and black berries, violets, and subtle spice, reminiscent of the floral lift and aromatic precision of its Bordeaux counterpart. On the palate, the Merlot provides lushness and roundness, while Cabernet Franc contributes backbone, minerality, and a hint of savory complexity.  

This blend is a celebration of two great varietals (and just two vineyards) working in perfect harmony, and a testament to our belief that Napa can honor Old World traditions while expressing its own unique terroir. Whether enjoyed now with a special meal or cellared to develop further depth, Deux Vignes promises to be a conversation starter in any collection.

As a new addition to the Canard lineup, Deux Vignes is available in limited quantities.  Only 160 cases produced.
