The 2022 Reserve Zinfandel, sourced from our 140-year-old dry-farmed vineyard, is a testament to Napa Valley’s enduring history and the remarkable resilience of some of its oldest vines. This heritage vineyard, among the very first ever planted in the Valley continue to produce fruit of profound character, offering a rare glimpse into the region’s past with every vintage.

Harvested entirely by hand in 2022, the fruit was selected with exceptional care to honor the significance of these ancient vines. Fermentation took place in small open-top barrels, allowing for gentle extraction and preserving both the wine’s natural elegance and its unmistakable depth. While such meticulous winemaking is typically reserved for Bordeaux varieties, we believe vines of this age and pedigree deserve nothing less.

On the palate, the 2022 vintage delivers a beautiful equilibrium of power and refinement. Concentrated notes of dark berry, black plum, and bramble intertwine with hints of baking spice, dried herbs, and subtle earth-driven complexity, hallmarks of truly ancient Zinfandel.
