2021 Throwback

At the core of the 2021 Throwback blend is Cabernet Sauvignon, which provides the wine with its structure, depth, and bold character. This varietal contributes flavors of dark fruit, including cassis, blackcurrant, and ripe blackberry. The Cabernet Sauvignon imparts a robust backbone, with firm tannins and a substantial finish, emulating the classic characteristics of a well-aged Left Bank Bordeaux style wine.  Complementing the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc adds complexity and lift.  This varietal introduces nuanced notes of graphite, rose and a touch of violet, offering a refined herbal and floral dimension. The Cabernet Franc’s contribution balances the wine, providing aromatic depth and enhancing its overall sophistication.  Merlot rounds out the blend with its plush, velvety texture and ripe fruit flavors. It brings a softer, more approachable element to the wine, with flavors of plum, cherry, and a hint of chocolate. The Merlot adds smoothness to the blend, integrating seamlessly with the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc to create a harmonious profile.
