2019 Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from our dry farmed clone 7 block, which consistently year after year produces some of the finest fruit in the vineyard. Open top, barrel fermented and then aged in the same French oak barrels for two years and then another year and a half in bottle. Our clone 7, which is exclusively used in the Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon produces a more masculine, brooding wine with deep, rich black fruit and plenty of structure. Its feminine counterpart is the Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, with its elegant red fruit notes and softer tannins. It’s produced on the same vineyard but from clone 337. The Reserve has notes of holiday spice on the nose with leather, blackberry jam and black current on the palate. Long, soft elegant finish with hints of clove and sagebrush. This wine will easily age 25 years +.
